Area of intervention Enhancing the tourism potentials and cooperation in the field of culture
Project start 01. May 2018 – 30. Jul 2020
Project description Main objective:
To develop an adequate tourist offer and modernize the existing facilities in the tourist route Kistelek – Kanjiža through involvement of local and regional government, local communities and secondary school pupilsSpecific objectives:

  1. То present different health-lifestyle counselling and supportive medical treatment guided towards health tourism;
  2. To develop the infrastructure of the site in Kanjiza Municipality, revitalize the existing sport capacities and construct a multifunctional sports field along with the required sanitary infrastructure;
  3. To promote and enhance youth tourism in the area and raise awareness of healthy lifestyles among the youth through specific recreational, competitive and educational activities;
  4. To raise attention of the tourism opportunities of the region.

Expected results:

  1. One health-lifestyle centre built;
  2. Sports ground (fields) and supporting infrastructure built and reconstructed;
  3. A summer camp organised for secondary school pupils from 16 schools in Vojvodina;
  4. Mobile optimised website developed.

Main activities: 

  1. Expansion of the Kistelek multifunctional facility;
  2. Development of technical plans;
  3. Civil engineering amending and planning;
  4. Preparation of project documentation;
  5. Implementation of works;
  6. Implementation of mobile optimized touristic website;
  7. Adding inputs to website;
  8. Launch of a call;
  9. Оrganisation of the camp;
  10. Public procurement for equipment/services/works;
  11. Media promotion and visibility.

Target groups:
Tourism service providers, general public in the border region, young tourists and tourists of other age categories, secondary school students from Serbia and Hungary taking part in the creation of the tourist offer for Kanjiža by their active engagement in workshops and preparation of web application content, secondary school students participating in the camp.
