The delegation of the Executive Council in Italy

Novi Sad, 22 January – The delegation of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, headed by Dr. Gabor Lodi, Vice-president of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, is in visit to Italy this week, and it has been organized by the Office for European Affairs. The members of delegation are: Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs, Siniša Lazić, Provincial Secretary of Economy, Predrag Grgić, Secretary for International and Regional Cooperation, and Daniel Petrović, Provincial Secretary for Agriculture, Water and Forestry. During their stay in Italy, they will be participating in a number of events: the first political conference of the European MATRIOSCA project, meetings with the management of the development agency of the regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto, INFORMEST, furthermore, the agriculture fair, AGRIEST, where there are more than 250 European exhibitors. The first political conference of the European MATRIOSCA project is expected to consider initiatives for establishing further institutional relations between our country and regional partners. To serve as a reminder that of the EU member states, the lead partner of MATRIOSCA is the Austrian state of Styria and the participants are Carinthia and Burgenland from Austria, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto from Italy, Slovenia, Baranya, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Somogy, Tolna, Vas and Zala from Hungary, Koprivnica – Križevci, Varaždin and Istra from Croatia and our province Vojvodina, on behalf of Serbia. At the meeting with the representatives of INFORMEST, the Initiatives of Socio-Economic Development of Vojvodina (ISSER project) will be discussed, within which Italian exsperts have given full support for our country’s institutional building for EU accession for more than a year and a half. Vojvodina’s economic and agriculture potential will be presented to Italian economic and government bodies at the fair, and a meeting with investors interested in investing into our country has been announced.
