Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Slovakia received Novikov and Zloh

Bratislava, Slovakia – Dušan Čaplovič, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Slovak Republic has received Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs, and Martin Zloh, Vice-president of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, today. The discussion addressed the prospect of joint participation in EU programmes.

”Slovakia supports Serbian initiatives towards approaching EU institutions and structures. It is necessary to develop regional cooperation within the defined framework for cooperation between the Republic of Slovakia and Republic of Serbia. In addition, the use of EU IPA funds is especially important”, said Čaplovič and sent an official invitation to the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to present itself in Bratislava.

“Partnership with the regions and countries of the EU is of utmost importance for the benefit of all the people in our country. Regardless of all the difficulties and thorny path, the implementation of standards of developed countries is the key for raising the population’s living standard. Moreover, regional initiatives and projects contribute to the strengthening of our partnership and our state institutions. In mid-January, the citizens of our country will decide on whether the way towards the EU is the way that Serbia will take”, said Predrag Novikov, whereas Martin Zloh thanked on the assistance within the Bratislava – Belgrade fund, through which our country received more over €2 million.
