Project area Support for a smarter Adriatic-Ionian Region

Description of the project The objective of the project is to foster partnership between research and development industries, organizations for business support and public institutions in order to cultivate the opportunities for joint development, innovation and implementation of green solutions in the most challenging sectors of S3 strategies.

By offering capacity-building cpacities and cooperation opportunities based on the cutting-edge green economy within IPA ADRION area, this project aims to increase awareness, enhance the knowledge and outline the guidelines for the adoption of ecologically acceptable and sustainable solutions within SMEs.

Expected outcome:

  1. Jointly developed strategies will contribute to organizational and regional planning in relation to green innovation and consequently to the policy priorities for green and sustainable development in Adriatic-Ionian Region.
  2. The established transnational strategic network GREENSMES will enable transnational support of SMEs in Adriatic-Ionian Region along with the green innovation practices, training and connection with international experts and companies.
  3. A network for the development of “Action Plan for Transnational GREENSMES Network“ has been formed. It includes setting up a network management, operating procedures as well as a three-year action plan after the completion of the project. The action plan will prioritize the  integration of additional organizations into the network as well as ensure the continuity of services within the network and ongoing development of both existing and newly created services.
  4. A joint solution will be created as an outcome of the pilot project of implementing an action that will promote green innovations in project segments through vaucher schemes.

Main activities:

1.      Research of green economy and business innovation in transnational area.

2.      Collaborative development of marketing and policy of framework strategy aimed at promoting innovative green practices in IPA ADRION area.

3.      Raising transnational awareness about green innovations.

4.      Creation and dissemination transnational strategic network GREENSMES

5.     Engagement and capacity building of shareholders within the strategic network.

6.      Development of the pilot project through the implementation of the action designed to promote green innovation in project activities through voucher schemes.

7.      Promoting green competitiveness in the ADRION regions.

8.      Project management.
