Additional information:

Interreg-IPA Cross-border cooperation program Bulgaria-Serbia was adopted by the European Commission by decision no. C(2015) 5444, 30 July 2015.

Interreg - IPA Cross-border cooperation program Bulgaria-Serbia finances projects related to the development of sustainable tourism, youth and environmental protection.

The eligible territory of the Program covers the territories of the NUTS III region or equivalent, located in the border region of the partner countries, and includes the Bulgarian areas: Vidin, Montana, Vraca, Sofia, Pernik and Ćustendil; as well as Serbian districts: Borski, Zaječarski, Nišavski, Toplički, Pirotski, Jablanički and Pčinjski.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria was appointed to perform the function of the Managing Body, and the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia was appointed to perform the function of the National Body of the Program.

The main office of the Joint Secretariat is in Sofia, in the Republic of Bulgaria, and the branch office is in Nis, in the Republic of Serbia.

Priority 1: Competitive border region

  • Improving the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and creating new jobs in SMEs, including productive investments.

 

Priority 2: Integrated development of the border region

  • The specific objective within this thematic priority is:
  • Encouraging integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and security in non-urban areas.

Priority 3: A more resilient border region

  • The specific objective within this thematic priority is:
  • Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience taking into account ecosystem-based approaches.

Serbia: Bor, Zaječar, Nišav, Toplički, Pirotski, Jablanički and Pčinjski districts

Bulgaria: Vidin, Montana, Vraca, Sofia, Pernik and Kyustendil areas

State administration bodies, chambers, development agencies, science and technology parks, entrepreneurship centers, local/regional self-government units, public institutions, Local Action Groups (LAGs), utilities, companies, research/educational/scientific institutions, public hospitals , health centers, civil society organizations, various non-governmental organizations, tourist boards, small and medium-sized enterprises, from both participating countries.
